A memorable double bill of extraordinary family-friendly circus shows is coming to Dorset this summer!
Prepare to be amazed by Roll Up, Roll Up as Simple Cypher perform explosive tricks with effortless agility within a large, spinning steel ring known as a Cyr Wheel. This skilled duo combines freestyle hip hop and acrobatics with juggling in an innovative and original way in this playful production.
Pirates of the Carabina are award-winning circus artists, acrobats and musicians. Their brand-new show Pirate Taxi tells their own tale of running away to the circus, with humour, original music and an ingenious set. Join the adventure and watch an extraordinary aerial performance.
Touring Dorset with Artsreach, the county's touring arts charity. Please bring your own chair or rug and dress for all weather. Barbeque/Hog Roast or vegetarian option and bar from 6.00pm. Artsreach are back in Halstock Village Hall this summer with 2 exciting workshops for children. Our first till be a Wild Withy workshop led by Fran Quinlan on Wednesday 28th July from 10am - 1pm
Create giant structures inspired by seed pods, flowers, cones, vegetables and fruits. Add to these organic forms - recycled paper, wool, threads, strips of fabric and tissue paper and take home a light and graceful sculpture which can be suspended or free standing.

Later during the holidays there will be a Stop frame animation workshop led by Gary Jarman of Pageant Productions on Monday 16 August from 10am – 3pm.
This is a fun and engaging stop-motion animation workshop for kids who want to create their very own short film. You will construct a small set, create scenes and use props to film your story on the effects of Climate Change. This workshop is a great introduction into the world of animation. Dress for mess. Remember your lunch. Suitable for ages 7 – 12yrs
