‘The Oak’  is the last remaining pub in a once proud mining community near Durham, and it’s struggling to stay open, as the only place where people can meet. When Syrian refugees arrive in the town, tensions rise. But the pub’s landlord strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees.

The Great Escaper is based on the true story of Bernie Jordan (played by the marvellous Michael Caine). Living in a care home in Hove with his wife Irene (the late Glenda Jackson), D-Day veteran Bernie is determined to attend the 70th Anniversary events in Normandy.

One Life tells the incredible and emotional, true story of Nicholas Winton who convinced the international authorities to help rescue

hundreds of mainly Jewish children in Czechoslovakia before Nazi occupation closed the borders. Its many star names are
led by Anthony Hopkins as Winton.
