Mission Statement

St Juthware Festival Halstock

The St Juthware Festival mission is for our church to be able to offer, not only a spiritual resource for the village, but events and projects which can benefit people across the village community.  We want to deliver a programme that showcases local, artistic and musical talents in a variety of different styles and genres.

The St Juthware story centres upon her faith in Jesus and his command to care for others - as seen in her good works. Building on this, we need to ensure that the church building is preserved for generations to come and that it is fit for purpose. The festival proceeds will ensure we deliver those facilities. By building a sustainable Festival there will be longer-term benefits to our community in other charitable giving, so that we thrive with a creative spirit in friendship and tolerance.

We are delighted to invite you to our Classical Meets Jazz Concert - an exciting celebration of music from two extraordinarily talented musicians.  Joel found fame more recently appearing on BBC television after winning a prestigious scholarship to the London Symphony Orchestra.

Lorenzo has enjoyed an illustrious career working with acknowledged leaders in the musical world, as well as writng for children’s television and musicals. He is much in demand for weddings and special events in the South West.

During the Concert we also hope you will join us for a Drinks Reception in the church.  It promises to be a memorable occasion and we are delighted to offer this rare glimpse into the world of such acclaimed talent.

The Parochial Church Council of Halstock are pleased to subsidise this event and the ticket price of £22.00 covers the Programme, Concert and Drinks Reception. We are allowing children to come in free so long as they are accompanied by an adult as we feel this is a valuable opportunity for youngsters to be exposed to such talent.

To purchase your ticket you can go in person to Halstock Community Shop or email halstockcommunity@gmail.com with your name and email address so we can send you an e ticket.  Payment will be by BACS sort code 30-99-98 account number 76644968.  Please state your name so we can match your payment with your email address.

Please note that tickets are on a first come, first served basis as is seating in the Church. Just so you are aware, by attending the Concert, you are agreeing to be included in any photography that may be included in our digital and printed communications afterwards.

We hope you are able to join us and celebrate our strong musical heritage. All proceeds go towards the fabric of the Church to restore and maintain it for generations to come.
